PRINCE PETER HOSTS WHITE PALACE RECEPTION AT THE BEGINNING OF “24 HOURS OF ELEGANCE 2012”

Belgrade, 7 September 2012 – His Royal Highness Hereditary Prince Peter hosted tonight an opening reception at the White Palace of “24 hours of elegance 2012” a three days event organized by the Superstar Worldwide Agency. Rubinacci - masters of style exhibition, an extravagant display of selected historic suits of the famous style house of Rubinacci, from Naples, Italy. The exhibition was set up at the White Palace in Belgrade under the auspices of HRH Hereditary Prince Peter of Serbia. An exclusive selection of famous classic cars by the renowned automotive club Allegri del Volante from Florence (with a Ferrari 250 TR, Maserati A6 and several other unique models) were presented in front of the Palace. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive photo preview of the majestic cars owned by the Serbian Royal Family 1908 - 1941 and presented in the book “Karadjordjevic dynasty automobiles 1908-1941” by the acclaimed car historian Miroslav Milutinovic.

HRH Hereditary Prince Peter and Mr. Aleksandar Djordjevic welcomed the guests and praised the efforts of the organizers for making this event of elegance and refinement happen again in Belgrade.

Guests were also addressed by Mr. Andrea Simoncelli, Chairmen of the Italian –Sernian Chamber of Commerce, Sir Paul Judge, Chairman of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Luca Rubinacci.
HRH Prince Peter and Mr. Rubinacci then cut the ribbon and officially opened the exhibition.

This 3-day spectacle, dedicated to elegance and refinement, will be comprised of three segments, with each day, from Friday to Sunday (September 7 to September 9), focusing on a new experience.

One of the novelties presented this year will be the unique Grand Tour Historique that will take place around Kalemegdan Park on Saturday, September 8, at 12 pm and will show a superb parade of classic cars that will follow a 2.7 km route of the last pre-war Grand Prix that took place in 1939 in Belgrade as the city race with Her Majesty Queen Maria of Yugoslavia participating. Before the race, Mr. Bratislav Petkovic’s movie “The forgotten Grand Prix” will be featured.
