THE CHANCELLERY OF
T.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE IN VISIT TO SUBOTICA
T.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Subotica today with their distinguished guest from Great Britain Lord Janner*. After the welcome in the Town Hall, Their Royal Highnesses and Lord Janner called upon Jewish municipality of Subotica and Synagogue, and than delivered humanitarian aid in the refugee camp at Palić lake and Gerontology center in Subotica. The guests were warmly welcomed at the Town Hall by the Mayor of Subotica Mr. Išpan Išpanović and his associates, head of the North Bačka District Mr. Oliver Dulić and president of League of Jewish woman of Subotica Mrs. Mira Poljaković. After the short reception at Town Hall Their Royal Highnesses and Lord Janner visited Jewish municipality, where warm welcome was organized . On this occasion, HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II expressed his belief that faith brings closer those who believe in the word of God and his laws. “It is necessary for us to remove the burden from the time of anarchy an hatred, that has been our destiny for such a long time. In that work nobody can take our place, nor that job can be postponed for some other times”, said H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II. Thanking the citizens for the warm welcome, Lord Janner expressed his pleasure for being in Subotica today and how honoured he was to come as a friend of Their Royal Highnesses. After visiting the Synagogue, the guests went to refugee centre at Palić lake, where they delivered humanitarian aid to refugees and learned about the living conditions in this camp. “The aid I bring to you is smaller than you needs, but when we faced such shorteges,nothing is small if it is form the heart and if it will relive somebody’s pain”, pointed out H.R.H. Crown Princess Katherine. At the end of the visit Subotica, their Royal Highnesses an Lord Janner called visited Gerontology centre where they also delivered humanitarian aid. “The old and the sick are not only your concern, but also censer of our hole society”, said on this occasion H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II, expressing hope that delivered humanitarian aid will solve at least a part of the problems that this centre encounters every day.

He is a Vice President of World Jewish Congress and a Counsel of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with special expertise in employment matters.
