CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE ATTENDS SCHOOL DAY CELEBRATION OF “STEFAN DECANSKI“ SCHOOL FOR HEARING IMPAIRED AT DOM SINDIKATA
Belgrade, 29 November 2012 - Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine attended the Celebration of the school day of “Stefan Decanski“ School for hearing impaired at Dom Sindikata. The First Lady, Mrs. Dragica Nikolic the wife of H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, President of Serbia has also graced this special jubilee with her presence.
The “Stefan Decanski“ School is 115 years old and is an institution dedicated to upbringing, education and rehabilitation of children. This school is the largest institution of its kind in the Balkans. The Crown Princess Katherine Foundation has been helping the school by providing an audio amplifier system that is assists in the education of children with hearing problems, it is worth around two thousand euros. Her Royal Highness congratulated the school principle Mrs. Leposava Petrovic for the success of the school and encouraged further innovation that her Foundation will continue to support.
After the speeches, pupils of the school performed the traditional Serbian dances and songs programme. |
