MONKS FROM EPARCHY OF RAŠKA AND PRIZREN AT THE RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL PALACE

Within their pilgrimage of Serbian monasteries, the monks from eparchy of Raška and Prizren, from the monasteries of Visoki Dečani, Djurdjevi Stupovi, Sopoćani and Crna Reka, headed by Archbishop of Raška and Prizren Artemije, were guests of TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine at the Royal Palace today.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II welcomed the monks pointing out the importance of Kosovo monasteries in preserving Serbian culture and spirituality.

He also emphasized that we all together have to  be optimistic regarding the solution of Kosovo issue, and have patient approach to the problem, in order to normalize the situation.

On behalf of the monks, Archbishop of Raška and Prizren Artemije thanked Their Royal Highnesses, saying that the Church and the Crown are two pillars which sustain Serbian nation.

“Return of the Royal Family in the fatherland filled me with hope and faith that Serbian people will have a better future”, said Archbishop Artemije to the Crown Prince.

During their stay at the Palace, the monks visited the Royal chapel dedicated to Saint Apostle Andrew the First Called together with Their Royal Highnesses, where they served a prayer.
