THE CHANCELLERY OF
THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES AT THE CELEBRATION OF THE 97th ANNIVERSARY OF “KARAĐORĐE” PRIMARY SCHOOL
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the celebration of the 97th anniversary of Primary school “Karadjordje” in Voždovac yesterday. Primary school “Karađorđe” is one of the oldest primary schools in Serbia and Mr. Milorad Pavić, member of the Crown Council and writer was a pupil there. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine were welcomed by the director of “Karađorđe” school Mr. Milan Žegarac, pupils, teachers and numerous parents, and after the reception students performed a ceremony where the choir and the dancing and acting school clubs had an opportunity to present themselves. Addressing the present, Crown Prince Aleksandar II said: ”You, students of “Karađorđe” school, are keepers of everything we care about today : justice, democracy and happiness of tomorrow. To have a chance to defend that, the best arms will be your knowledge, and your teachers are here to deliver it to you.” After the ceremony, a reception for Their Royal Highnesses and other guests was organized, with the presence of the president of Voždovac municipality and representatives of Serbian Ministry of education and sport.
