HRH PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II VISITS IVANJICA REGION

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II visited Ivanjica region today, where he attended the consecration of the Holly Ascension church, and then continued his visit to Ivanjica.

After the consecration and liturgy that was served by Bishop of Hvostan Atanasije Rakita, HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II addressed the present citizens by saying that faith brings together those who believe in the word of God and his laws.

“Here in Serbia, life has never been easy. God gave us a beautiful country, our forefathers made it rich through their great effort, and we nearly lost it in our lifetimes. That is why great work is ahead of us, in order to make up for what we have lost, to build what has been destroyed and to heal the wounds that are still open”, pointed out the Crown Prince.

His Royal Highnesses’ speech was greeted by a few hundreds of the citizens who than joined him for a celebrational lunch.

The Crown Prince continued his visit to Ivanjica where a formal reception was organized on the occasion of his arrival.

After taking a stroll in the main street and sightseeing and visiting the Town Hall, he called upon kindergarten “Đurđevak” together with his hosts, and then the textile factory “Javor”, where a fashion show was organized on the occasion of his arrival.
