TRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE IN A VISIT TO PIROT

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Pirot today, where Crown Princess Katherine delivered humanitarian aid to the Health centre in Pirot and a refugee camp near the town.

After a short reception that was organized by the president of Municipality Mr. Aleksandar Manojlović and his associates for Their Royal Highnesses in the Town hall of Pirot, a press conference was held.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II thanked the citizens of Pirot for their invitation and pointed out that during today’s visit they would find out more about the problems that this town faces daily, so that he and Crown Princess could help in best possible way.

After addressing the journalists, Their Royal Highnesses called upon cheese workshop in Dairy products school in Pirot, and then visited factory of textile and famous carpets “Pirotex-triko”, where they were presented with the products and the activities of this company.

During today’s visit Crown Princess Katherine visited the Health centre in PIrot, where she delivered humanitarian aid consisting of wheelchairs and hygienic material. In a conversation with the director of the Health centre Dr. Aleksandar Ćirić and his associates, Crown Princess learnt about the needs of patients and medical staff, regarding medical equipment, medical material and medicines. She emphasized that she was aware of the difficult situation in which our health care system was in the lasts few years, and expressed her readiness to help as much as possible.

After visiting Paediatric and Surgical wards of the Health centre, Crown Princess called upon a refugee camp near Pirot, where about 300 refugees from Krajina are settled, on which occasion she also delivered humanitarian aid in hygienic material.

“The aid I bring you today is smaller than you needs, but nothing is small, if it is from the heart and if it will relive somebody’s pain”, said on this occasion HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
