REPRESENTATIVES OF CYCLISTS FEDERATION OF SERBIA AT THE RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL PALACE

TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine received representatives of Cyclists Federation of Serbia on the occasion of the 128 th Anniversary of this association and proclaiming Prince Aleksandar for their patron at the Royal Palace in Dedinje today.

Welcoming the present guests, Crown Prince Aleksandar II conveyed regards of Prince Aleksandar who could not attend the reception because of the duties at his university.

He pointed out that the Royal Palace is the best place for gathering the people who take credits for development of this important sport and recreative discipline in Serbia.

“Cyclism in the Serbs has a long and rich tradition. I believe that persistence, discipline and power that this sport particularly stimulate we need very much in this difficult period that we go trough”, said Crown Prince Aleksandar II.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II handed awards to the winners of the Serbian cyclists cup, and members of Cyclists Federation gave him a bicycle as a token of their gratitude.

On this occasion, Crown Princess Katherine was proclaimed the Honorary President of the International cycling race “Tour de Danube” which should be held in the second part of July this year.

Reception was attended by the representatives of Cyclists Federation of Serbia, Cyclists Federation of Belgrade, Cyclists Federation of Hungary, International Cyclists Federation, representative of Serbian Ministry of sport and education, as well as the directors of several Cyclists clubs from the whole Serbia.
