RECEPTION FOR REPRESENATIVES OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY AT THE ROYAL PALACE IN DEDINJE

 

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted a reception for the representatives of Islamic religious community at the Royal Palace in Belgrade tonight.

The reception was attended by Federal Minister for national minorities and ethnic communities Mr. Rasim Ljajić, Serbian minister of religion Mr. Vojislav Milovanović, Mufti of Belgrade Hadži Hamdija Jusufspahić, Mufti of Sandžak Muamer Zukorlić with the imams, as well as the ambassadors of Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, Syria and Pakistan.

Welcoming the guests, HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II said that the doors of the Royal Palace are open for all people of good will, regardless of their national or religious origin.

“Our internal conflicts must stop and it is this generation's task to put an end to the past. Democracy is a universal remedy, but from all that mankind had created, it is the best way for people to live their lives in their own time and peace, staying faithful to the commandments of Our Creator. Life in peace offers us a chance to find the best in ourselves'', said HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II.

The reception was attended by the members of Crown Council Arch. Dragomir Acović and Prof. Nikola Moravčević.
