PARTICIPANTS OF THE CONFERENCE ON GOVERNANCE TRANSITION IN FRY AT THE RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL PALACE

Belgrade, July 20, 2002 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II, Crown Princess Katherine, Prince Vladimir and Princess Brigitte hosted a reception for the participants of the Conference on transition in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at the Royal Palace last night.

Strategic round-table on governance transition was held under the patronage of United Nations Development Programme on 18 and 19 July at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade.

Representatives of Federal and Serbian Government, UN agencies (UNMIK, UNDP, UNCHR, UNICEF, UNITAR), diplomatic corps, World Bank and other participants of the Conference attended the reception.

Among the invitees were Federal Minister of Science and Development Mr. Vuko Domazetovic, Serbian Minister of Science and Technology Mr. Dragan Domazet, UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Francis O’ Donnel, UNLO Head of Liaison Office Mr. Igor Khalevinski, World Bank Country Manager Mr. Rory O’Sullivan and others.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II welcomed the present and expressed his pleasure for the support of United Nations to our political and economic programmes.
