CHILDREN FROM “NAŠA SRBIJA” HUMANITARIAN CAMP AT THE WHITE PALACE

Belgrade, 30 August 2002 –Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II, Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Filip welcomed children from “Naša Srbija” humanitarian summer camp and members of the “Kir Stefan” choir from Smederevo at the White Palace today. 

The children, led by Mr. Mlađen Đorđević, President of ”Nasa Srbija” humanitarian organisation, came to visit the Royal Family in response to Princess Katherine’s invitation delivered during her visit  to the organisation’s summer camp two days ago. On that occasion, Princess Katherine heard a performance by the “Kir Stefan” choir and expressed her wish for them too to be her guests at the Palace. 

During the time spent with their hosts, the children recited a number of poems and this was followed by a short concert given by the “Kir Stefan” choir. Several friends of the Royal Family who came from abroad to spend summer holidays in our country were in the audience along with Their Royal Highnesses. 

All the visitors received presents and an open invitation to visit The White Palace again.
