Meeting with the Mufti of Banja Luka Edhem Čamdžić

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katherine met with the highest representative of Islamic community in Banja Luka, Mufti Edhem Čamdžić.

Mufti Čamdžić expressed his great pleasure for the visit of Their Royal Highnesses, pointing out that it was the first official visit to Ferhadija since the conflicts had ceased.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II emphasized his deep respect of all people regardless of their religious or ethnic origin and expressed his great sorrow for the human losses and destructions of places of worship, whether they were Orthodox, Roman Catholic or mosques.

He also expressed hope that the conflicts will be overcome for “Republika Srpska today is a modern state, where peace and tolerance reign.”

“Islamic community is ready for reconciliation, co-existence and forgiveness”, said the Mufti of Banja Luka Edhem Čamdžić.
