HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II VISITS PECINCI AND OBEDSKA BARA

Belgrade, 17 October 2002 – HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II visited Pecinci and the National Park “Obedska Bara” today.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II was welcomed by the president of Pecinci municipality Dr. Nikola Pavkovic with his associates. After the reception at the Town Hall Crown Prince Aleksandar II was the guest of the local radio station “Donji Srem”, where he went on the air and on that occasion gave a short interview.

Later on, Crown Prince Aleksandar II called upon the kindergarten “Vlada Obradovic- Kameni” where he was welcomed by about 100 children and their teachers. After a short performance the children gave, Prince Aleksandar II delivered them toys and candies, and then went to the local church, Health Center and the Museum of Bread “Jeremiah”.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II continued his visit by going to the Church of Saint Luke, built in the XV century in the village of Kupinovo, and then to the natural reservation park “Obedska Bara”, which is under the protection of the state.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II was accompanied by the member of the Crown Council Mr. Dragomir Acovic.
