HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AT THE PROMOTION OF THE BOOK ABOUT BISHOP NIKOLAJ VELIMIROVIC AND AT THE CELEBRATION OF THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNIVERSITY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine receives diploma of gratitude for participation in donation program “Hundred days for the University Pediatric Clinic“

Belgrade, 19 October 2002 – HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II attended the promotion of the book “Bishop Nikolaj – life, thought and work” written by Father Milan D. Jankovic, at the National Museum in Belgrade tonight.

The ceremony was attended by the Serbian Minister of Religion Prof. Dr. Vojislav Milovanovic and large number of believers. The book was reviewed by Their Graces Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac and Valjevo and Bishop Irinej of Backa, professor at Faculty of Theology Mr. Radovan Bigovic, as well as the author himself.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II then attended the reception on the occasion of the successful end of the donation program “Hundred days for the University Pediatric Clinic“ in Tirsova street, which was held at the City Hall.

The host of the event, President of Management board of the Clinic Dr. Boris Stajkovac, handed over a diploma of gratitude to Crown Prince Aleksandar, as a memento of his participation in this donation program, during which the Foundation of HRH Princess Katherine donated a dialysis machine, an incubator and a defibrillator to the Clinic in Tirsova street. This donation is only a part of the equipment gathered during the great humanitarian event at the White Palace this June.

Diplomas of gratitude were also delivered to the Embassies of Norway, Finland, Austria, USA and Japan, as well as to companies “Bozen Cosmetic”, “BK”, “Vecernje novosti” and others.

University Children’s Clinic was funded in 1936. by the decrete of Her Majesty Queen Marija.
