Belgrade, 21 October 2002 – HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II visited Mufti of Serbia Hadzi Hamdija Jusufspahic for the first time today, at the premises of the Islamic community in Belgrade.

The meeting was attended by the Imam of Belgrade Mustafa Effendi Jusufspahic, Muhammad Ali Effendi Vel and the secretary of the Islamic community Mr. Miralem Hadzic, who introduced Crown Prince Aleksandar II with the current situation of the Moslems in Belgrade and Serbia, and everyday problems they are facing.

The Crown Prince expressed his worry about the fact that about 200,000 Moslems live in Belgrade today, and the Islamic community is not able to build their cemetery because of financial problems, and he promised he will try to help as best as possible by using his connections and appealing for help to the Royal Families in Islamic countries.
