HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II HANDED OVER MEMBERSHIP CARDS TO THE NEW PROTÉGÉS OF THE HUMANITARIAN FUND “PRIVREDNIK”

Belgrade, 22 October 2002 – HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II attended the celebration of the Humanitarian Fund “Privrednik” at the premises of Serbian Academy of Science and Arts in Novi Sad where he handed over membership cards to the new protégés of the Fund.

The Patron of the Humanitarian Fund “Privrednik” is Prince Petra Karadjordjevic who could not attend the event because of his obligations at University.

The celebration was attended by His Grace Bishop Porfirije of Jegar, the Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Borislav Novakovic, the president of Novi Sad branch of SANU academician Zoran Kovacevic, vice president of the Humanitarian Fund “Privrednik” Mr. Miroslav Malesev and other officials and members of the Fund.

After the working part of the session a formal program was performed with the president of Novi Sad branch of SANU academician Zoran Kovacevic and the Mayor Novi Sad Borislav Novkovic addressing the present first, after which Crown Prince Aleksandar II addressed the present:

“I am very happy to deliver you the greetings of my son Prince Petar, your Patron, and to be in your company today. You are the future elite of this nation, the elite of knowledge and talent, you are our future”.

After musical program performed, among others, by some of the new protégés of the Fund, Crown Prince Aleksandar handed over membership cards to the new protégés. The ceremony was finished by opening an exhibition “Development and successes of the Humanitarian Fund “Privrednik”.
