TRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT JAGODINA

€ 4,500 donation to the local Health Center

Belgrade, 1 November 2002 – TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Jagodina municipality today where they delivered “Medicina TS” incubator ( € 4,500) to the local Health Center.

Their Royal Highnesses first visited the Town Hall where they were welcomed by the Mayor Mr. Dragan Alempijevic with his associates. The warm reception organized by their hosts was also attended by Father Radovan Rakic from the Church of St. Archangels and Father Rade Stankovic from the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Jagodina.

Crown Prince Aleksandar II addressed the present saying:

“It is always a great joy for me and my wife when we are here in Sumadija among you. It has been over a year since I am again in the Fatherland with my family. Since then we’ve been living among you, we share your worries and your hopes. I believe we got to know well the problems you are facing, but I also believe in the better future for us, in development and democracy”.

After the welcome speech to the distinguished guests by the Mayor of Jagodina Mr. Dragan Alempijevic, the present citizens and reporters had a chance to talk to Their Royal Highnesses in a casual atmosphere.

When the reception at the Town Hall was over, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited the Health Center where they delivered the “Medicina TS” incubator to the director Dr. Snezana Mitrovic.

On that occasion Princess Katherine said:

“Our greatest worry is about healthy posterity and healthy nation. That is where the strength, effort and work of all of us should be focused on. My husband Crown Prince Aleksandar II and I will always be here to support an help you”.

On behalf of the staff and the citizens of Jagodina, Dr. Snezana Mitrovic thanked for the donation and for the care Their Royal Highnesses have for those who need help most, and then took the guests for a round of the maternity and other wards.
