TRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT KRUSEVAC

€ 11,240 worth donation to the local Health Center

Belgrade, 1 November 2002 – After visiting Jagodina and Cuprija, TRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown princess Katherine visited Krusevac today where they delivered € 11,240 worth “Draeger” incubator to the local Health Center.

Upon their arrival to Krusevac, at the meeting with the deputy Mayor Mr. Bratislav Djokic and his associates, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess talked about the current economic and social situation in this municipality.

Mr. Djokic explained that one of the largest companies in Krusevac, chemical industry “Merima”, has just signed the contract with the foreign partner , “Henkel” company, and added that “Rubin” and “Zupa”, wineries from Krusevac, are doing business successfully.

The Crown Prince emphasized there were many companies in our country that used to business well, and that good business plans were necessary to be made, in order to regain the old partners and attract the new ones.

Their Royal Highnesses then called upon the Health Center in Krusevac, where they delivered the “Draeger” incubator to the director Dr. Slobodan Milojevic.

Delivering the donation, Princess Katherine worriedly said:

“I believe this incubator will bring joy for every new born life that is going to be saved. Like any mother in the world, I am happiest when children are healthy and joyful, and when their tears are replaced with smiles”.

The Princess explained to the numerous gathered doctors how she would continue, together with her husband, with the humanitarian work, but that she expected of them to provide information on the needs for medical equipment, for in that way much could be accomplished in aiding in patients’ treatment by working together.

On behalf of the staff and the citizens of Krusevac, the director of the hospital, Dr. Slobodan Milojevic thanked for the donation, and then took the guests for a round of the maternity and neonatal wards.
