THE CHANCELLERY OF
H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II
OF YUGOSLAVIA

“GO OUT AND VOTE”, SAYS HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II has addressed all citizens of Serbia who have the right to vote:

“One of the basic political and citizens’ freedoms is the right to express one’s political will in free elections and take one’s share of responsibility for personal and country’s destiny.

Today, this freedom can and must be used to benefit the people and citizens who are aware of their responsibility. I believe that taking active part in the forthcoming elections is a good way to do it. If the will of the people is to be recognized and respected, that will must be expressed according to the principles of democracy, which means clearly, doubtless, freely and responsibly, in the elections.

I believe that the present constitution is problematic and more than ready to be changed, but until it is not changed all institutions of the state must fully function with full responsibility, according to democratic principles and freely expressed will of the people. In the general interest, to the loss only of those who mean no good to the people, country and democracy”.
