CHRISTMAS LITURGY AT THE TEMPLE OF SAINT SAVA IN VRACAR

Belgrade, 7 January 2003 – Luka Visnjic, eight year old grandson of the Crown Council member Mr. Matija Beckovic, came today, on Christmas Day, to the Royal Palace as a well-wisher, following ancient Serbian Orthodox tradition.

Lighting the yule-log tree in the fire place, young Luka wished the Crown Prince, Crown Princess and Princes Fillip and Alexander health, happiness and prosperity, after which they gave him presents.

A little later, Crown Prince Alexander II with his family attended the Holy Liturgy celebrated by His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia Pavle at the Temple of Saint Sava in Vracar.

Together with hundreds of the faithful, the Liturgy was also attended by Serbian Ministers Mr. Vojislav Milovanovic, Mr. Gaso Knezevic, Mr. Branislav Lecic, Mr. Vladan Batic, Mr. Aleksandar Vlahovic, Mr. Goran Pitic, Mr. Bozidar Djelic and Mr. Slobodan Milosavljevic, as well as the Ambassador of Belarus HE Mr. Vladimir Mackeievic, and the members of Crown Council academician Mr. Matija Beckovic and Mr. Dragomir Acovic.
