CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF “POLITIKA” NEWSPAPER

Belgrade, 23 January 2003 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II sent congratulations for the one hundredth anniversary of “Politika” newspaper to its director Mr. Darko Ribnikar, management, editors, share holders and all its employees and associates, wishing them that the next 100 years are marked with success, like the previous one hundred years.

“For a century “Politika” has been an integral and constant part of our history and our lives, the paper that many people start their day with, and from which they get the picture of the world and the picture of us. When Serbia did well, so did “Politika”. When Serbia was in trouble, so was “Politika”. It is my wish that both Serbia and “Politika” do only well in the future, and whether it is going to be like that or not, depends to a great extent on you in “Politika” and on whether you will be up to “Politika’s” image and reputation.

Congratulating you on this jubilee and I wish to say that my day, too, begins with “Politika”.
