CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF RENEWING THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Belgrade, 31 January 2003 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II sent congratulations for the thirteenth anniversary of renewing the Democratic Party to the Prime Minister and the President of the Democratic Party Dr. Zoran Djindjic, all its officials, members and supporters, with best wishes for successful work in achieving democratic goals and improving political situation in our country.

“In the years long efforts of the Crown and the political parties of democratic orientation to bring our conditions to European level of the rule of laws, human rights and citizens’ freedoms, our aims have always been identical and in full accordance, regarding the scale and the quality of necessary changes.

I am happy to say that the most important activities in that direction have been commenced, but I must also remind that their fulfillment requires a lot of effort.

Looking at the work of the Democratic Party, I am certain it will, together with the other parties who share the same goals or have very similar ones, regardless of certain differences in the way of achieving of those goals, continue to contribute to the transformation of our institutions, solving numerous social and economic problems and general recovery of our state and our society”, said Crown Prince Alexander II in his letter of congratulations.
