HRH PRINCE ALEXANDER II VISITS BELGRADE CENTRE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

Belgrade, 11 February 2003. - HRH Crown Prince Alexander II visited the non-government organization “Belgrade Centre for Human Rights” today, invited by its Director Prof. Vojin Dimitrijević, and was introduced to the work of this organization.

“Belgrade Centre for Human Rights» was founded in 1995 by a goup of human rights experts and activists interested in the improvement of human rights theory and practise. It focuses on advancing knowledge about human rights and humanitarian law.

HRH Prince Alexander II supports the causes and activities of this Centre, because he is the advocate of human rights and increasing population’s awareness of the importance of this matter.

''We have to respect human rights and democratic principles regardless of ethnic and religious “origin” said HRH Crown Prince Alexander II during today’s visit.
