HRH PRINCESS KATHERINE AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE INTERNATIONAL SPRING FAIR OF CLOTHES, LEATHER, SHOES AND EQUIPMENT

Belgrade, 27 February 2003 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine attended the opening ceremony of the International Spring Fair of Clothes, Leather, Shoes and Equipment today.

Together with Crown Princess Katherine was her daughter Ms Alison Garfinkel and Ms Cindy Waitzman from New York.

The ceremony was held at the Hall I of the Belgrade Fair. Princess Katherine, many guests and reporters were first welcomed by the director of the Belgrade Fair Mr. Rajko Ubiparip, who wished success to all exhibitors. Mrs. Tamara Bakic officially opened the Fair, and then a fashion show followed.

After the ceremony was finished, Princess Katherine called upon the exhibition stands of the local and international manufacturers, who presented their clothes, knitwear, cosmetics, jewelry and shoes.

Princess Katherine was particularly glad to meet again the textile, clothes and shoes manufacturers from the Association “YUTEF”, who are participating in the humanitarian program “Good deeds are always in fashion” together with her Foundation. The aim of the program is to provide clothes for the children of one orphanage each month, and it will last throughout the year.

The Spring Fair of Clothes will last until 2 March 2003.
