SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO - MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE

Belgrade, 3 April 2003 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II sent today congratulations to the leaders of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro: President Mr. Svetozar Marovic, Speaker of Parliament Dr Dragoljub Micunovic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Goran Svilanovic, on the occasion of Serbia and Montenegro becoming full member of the Council of Europe.

“I hope and I expect this important event will accelerate the process of the Serbia and Montenegro state union’s Euro-Atlantic integration, which in turn will bring about much needed peace, stability, democracy, economic growth and full integration to our country and the whole region, and open up prospects for general progress and civilization advance of our people”, emphasized the Crown Prince.
