CONGRATULATIONS TO HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH OF SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH ON HIS PATRON SAINT’S DAY

Belgrade, 18. April 2003 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II extanded his congratulations today to His Holiness Archbishop of Pec and Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovac and Patriarch of Serbian Orthodox Church Pavle on the occasion of His Patron Saint's Day Lazar's Saturday.

As the head of the Serbian Church during one of the most difficult historical periods for our people You have shown a great wisdom, and devotion to the Church of Christ and Your care for people are an example for all of us.

I thanked You for everything that You do for the Serbian people, as well for the precious help You have given us upon our return to the Fatherland» emphasized Crown Prince Alexander in his letter of congratulations.

Crown Prince Alexander II also congratulated Lazar's Saturday to His Grace Bishop of Nis Irinej, wishing him many years of health and joy.

«Your work in the Bishopric is a great importance for the people of that region who are, praise the Lord, returning to the Church» emphasized Crown Prince Alexander II .
