CHARITY CONCERT IN AID OF “LET US BREATHE IN LIFE TO SERBIA” PROGRAM AT KOLARAC ENDOWMENT

Belgrade, 19 May 2003 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine attended the charity concert in aid of “Let Us Breathe in Life to Serbia” program, under patronage of the Holy Synod of Serbian Orthodox Church and with the blessing of His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia Pavle, at Kolarac Endowment tonight.

This charity concert is the continuation of the program initiated last year in cooperation of Serbian Orthodox Church and the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. This program rallied and delivered 33 incubators to the hospitals throughout Serbia, and 22 of the incubators were acquired through mediation of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The concert was performed by the First Belgrade Singers Society Choir that was founded in 1853, conducted by Ana Simic-Radonjic, Jovan Kolundzija, the violin, Vesna Opsenica, soprano, Ljuba Dimitrijevic, wind instruments, Svetlana Bojkovic and Rada Djuricin, the actresses, folklore troupe “Branko Krsmanovic”, Oliver Njego, baritone, and Academic Choir “Collegium Musicum” conducted by Darinka Matic Marovic. The scenario of the concert was written by Prof. Nikola Rackov.

The proceeds from the concert is going to be spent on purchasing new incubators and continuation of the program “Let Us Breathe in Life to Serbia”.
