PREMIERE OF THE FILM “THE PROFESSIONAL” AT SAVA CENTER

Belgrade, 22 May 22, 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the premiere of the film “The Professional” at Save Center last night.

The film’s screenplay was written by academician Dusan Kovacevic, member of the Crown Council.

Beside Their Royal Highnesses the film’s premiere was attended by numerous top state officials, members of the advisory bodies of the Crown Mr. Dragomir Acovic, Prof Dr Dragoljub Kavran and academician Mr. Matija Beckovic with their families, as well as many public and cultural figures of our country.

Mr. Dusan Kovacevic is the greatest living Serbian playwright whose works have significantly influenced Serbian film art. He wrote screenplays for a number of films, including “The Balkan Spy”, “Who is Singing Over There”, “Marathon Runners”, “Gathering Centre”, “Underground” and “Hilarious Tragedy”. These films were shown and awarded in many film festivals in the country and abroad.

After the “The Balkan Spy”, this is the second film directed by Mr. Dusan Kovacevic whose work has contributed the development of our film industry and has established its reputation in the world.

After the last night’s premiere, “The Professional” will soon be in theatres.
