NEW DONATIONS TO THE SCHOOL “BOSKO BUHA”

Belgrade, 23 May 2003 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited elementary school for mentally challenged children “Bosko Buha” in Zvezdara today.

This is a second visit of HRH Crown Princess Katherine to this school attended by 180 pupils of various ages and the curriculum is designed on the model of a special program adjusted to their easier fitting in to the environment. j

HRH Crown Princess Katherine today delivered a donation in food and clothes. The food is intended to the schools kitchen that prepares and serves hot meals for the pupils. For many of them who come from socially endangered families this is the only meal during the day and some of them are often left without even that one meal, because of the lack of founds.

Princess Katherine wonted to help in solving the difficult situation at the school by delivering this donation.

On behalf of the teachers and the pupils of the school Princess Katherine was welcomed by the Head Master Mrs. Olivera Arsenijevic who thanked for the constant care and delivered aid. The students presented the Princess with dolls they made themselves and invited her to visit them again.

Notably excited Princess Katherine thanked for the warm welcome and the gifts and said:

“We are here after one month to fulfill our promise. The food is donated by Mr. Iotis from Greece, and the clothes was given by our local manufactures. My husband Crown Prince Alexander II and I shall try to be with you when ever it is necessary”.
