FOLKLORE TROUP “KOLO” CELEBRATES THE 55TH ANNIVERSARY

Belgrade, 28 May 2003- TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended tonight the concert at “Sava” Centre “55 years together with Kolo” on the occasion of the important jubilee of this folklore troupe.

Together with Their Royal Highnesses this remarkable jubilee was attended by the ambassadors from over twenty countries, prominent cultural and public figures, former members of the troupe and numerous admirers of “Kolo”.

“Kolo” is a troupe that on its tours in all the continents the world, in the best possible way, through song and dance, preserves our cultural heritage. The proof of this is the fact that this troupe spent eight months on tour abroad last year.

Beside “Kolo” troupe are well known folklore troupe from Skopje, Macedonia “Tanec” performed on the stage of the full house “Sava” Centre. “Tanec” created an unforgettable experience for the many admirers of folklore song and dance.

Their Royal Highnesses, together with other distinguished guests and the audience enjoy very much in the songs and dances from our rich cultural heritage.
