“YUTEF” SUMMIT AT “LEPENSKI VIR” HOTEL Donations to the Health Center in Pozarevac

Belgrade, 30 May 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited today the Health Center in Pozarevac and Donji Milanovac, where they opened “YUTEF” Summit Plus at the hotel “Lepenski Vir”.

Upon arrival to Pozarevac Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the general manager Mr. Alexander Matic with his associates. HRH Crown Princess Katherine delivered 24 wheelchairs, necessary for the transport of the patients and toys for the babies.

“We came to deliver wheelchairs to your hospital. I hope this aid will ease your work at least a little, and contribute to the patients feeling better.

I assure you my husband Crown Prince Alexander and I shall continue our work and we shall always be with you” – pointed out Princess Katherine in her address to the doctors and nurses of the Health Center.

After that, Their Royal Highnesses called upon the maternity ward, where they saw extremely difficult conditions in which the staff work and the patients and newborn babies are accommodated. Obviously shaken, The Princess insisted the lists of necessary for this vitally important ward are forwarded, so that she could rally aid through her Foundation.

TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine continued their journey to Donji Milanovac, where they opened “YUTEF” Summit Plus at the hotel “Lepenski Vir”.

On behalf of the organizers, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the Chairman of “YUTEF”, Mr. Vladimir Nikolic who pointed out that the program “Good Deeds are Always in Fashion” was initiated by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and accepted by “YUTEF”. The aim of the program that is going to last throughout the year, is to provide new clothes and shoes for the children from the orphanages, from our local manufacturers.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine pointed out with pride the example of “Good Deeds are Always in Fashion” program, for it in the best possible way shows their is communication and cooperation between our manufactures and the willingness to join humanitarian projects. The quality of their products have shown their ability to compete leading European and world textile manufacturers.

“It is my wish to thanked once again to all of our donors, to the people who support the work of my Foundation and myself, and especially to thanked to Mr. Mitrovic and Mrs. Vlajic who originated the idea of our cooperation.

My husband Crown Prince Alexander II and I want to thank you once again for participating in this program that has brought joy to hundreds of the young ones and that has put smile back on their faces”- pointed out Princess Katherine, and Crown Prince Alexander II thanked everybody who are helping our people.

Finishing their visit, Their Royal Highnesses went to our most important archeological site and the National Park Lepenski Vir with, ethno village near by.
