“MEDIFARM” FAIR OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT OPENED

Belgrade, 10 June 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the ceremony of opening the International Fair of Medical Equipment “Medifarm”.

Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the general manager of Belgrade Fair Mr. Branko Gligoric with his associates and the Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Tomica Milosavljevic.

Their Royal Highnesses and numerous present guests at the ceremony in the Hall XIV were addressed by the Minister Milosavljevic who officially opened the International Fair of Medical Equipment.

On that occasion he pointed out that this manifestation is a unique opportunity for integration of our country into the world and renewing the contacts with foreign partners. He also expressed his belief that local manufacturers of medical equipment will shortly reach the level of international standards.

Minister Milosavljevic thanked to all donors, above all to Princess Katherine and her Foundation, who have always helped the work of the Ministry, especially in the most difficult moments, which was the sign of true friendship.

After the ceremony Their Royal Highnesses took the tour of the stands at the Hall XIV of Belgrade Fair, and spent some time in conversation with the exhibitors who cooperated with the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
