“CISCO SYSTEMS” DELIVERS COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY PEDIATRIC CLINIC

Belgrade, 11 June 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the donation of communication equipment to the University Pediatric Clinic, made by “Cisco Systems” company.

The present guests were addressed by the Clinic’s manager Prof. Dr. Zoran Kostic who pointed out the importance of the donated equipment, for its advanced technology will enable direct contact during operations with experts from all over the world. They will be able to momentarily exchange opinions and experiences in particular cases and in that way contribute to successful treatment. Prof. Dr. Zoran Kostic thanked HRH Crown Princess Katherine who is the honorary Chairman of the Board of the Clinic, for her help and the efforts that her Foundation had put in providing the necessary medical equipment.

Beside Their Royal Highnesses, the ceremony was attended by HE the Ambassador of the USA in Serbia and Montenegro Mr. William Montgomery with his wife, regional manager of “Cisco Systems” Mr. Josef Gruskovnjak, general manager of “MDS” company Mr. Miroljub Jovovic, the Minister of International Economic Relationships Mr. Goran Pitic and the Mayor of Belgrade Mrs. Radmila Hrustanovic.

The functioning of this communication system was presented through a video link, and the present could monitor an operation on the heart valve, on a patient that was just one year old.
