NEW DONATIONS TO THE HEALTH CENTRE SREMSKA MITROVICA

Belgrade, 29 August 2003 – Their Royal Highnesses visited the Health Centre in Sremska Mitrovica where they donated a mobile incubator as a part of the donation rallied by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine at the charity dinner at Ecali Club in Athens, this March.

The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by the Center’s general Manager Mr. Dusko Madzic together with his associates, doctors and medical staff of this Health Centre. Mr. Madzic thanked for the great support that, in his words will make their work easier and enable transportation of newly born babies to the nearest specialist institutions.

Upon delivering the donation that was a part of the equipment rallied by Greek donors at the great charity ball in Athens, the present were addressed by Princess Katherine:

“I hope this equipment will make the conditions in your hospital a little better. As you know I have devoted my whole life to humanitarian activities. My husband Crown Prince Alexander and I returned to the country to give and to help our people. I assure you we are going to continue doing so with all our strengths”.

On the occasion of this visit Their Royal Highnesses took a tour of Neonatology and Gynecology wards.

This is the third visit of TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Princess Katherine to Health Centre in Sremska Mitrovica and so far the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine has donated this Centre with a “Citroen” ambulance and a neonatal incubator.
