NEW DONATIONS TO THE CLINICAL CENTRE AND CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL NOVI SAD Belgrade, 29 August 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited the Clinical Centre and Children’s Hospital in Novi Sad today, where they delivered the donation of black and white ultrasound apparatus, operational lamp and two mobile incubators in the total value of €33,000 rallied among the friends from Greece by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. The host of the visit to the Clinical Centre, General Manger Mr. Pavle Milosevic warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and introduced them to the work of the Surgery Clinic. Although this equipment, in the words of the Princess, is only symbolic help, she hopes that this hospital will be able to overcome some of the difficulties it is facing. “I wish to say that your will and your desire for a better future will be a great support in our further humanitarian activities”, said Princess Katherine at the end of the visit. The Children’s Hospital in Novi Sad was delivered the donation of two mobile incubators, and the distinguished guests were welcomed by the General Manager Mr. Djordje Konstantinidis. Continuing the tradition of the Karadjordjevics who have always been great benefactors, Princess Katherine expressed her admiration to doctors’ profession, for it is highly responsible and honorable, as she said. Her responsibility to help others she does not take as a duty, but more as an act of love. “Never doubt your strength and your faith and you will see what you can achieve in life”, said Princess Katherine. |
