VISIT TO MLADENOVAC Opening of the first “Fair of Agricultural mechanization, equipment, technology and production” Belgrade, 03 September 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Mladenovac today where The Crown Prince opened the first “Agricultural mechanization, equipment, technology and production Fair”. The Fair will take place from 3 to 7 September with a goal to gather manufacturers and exhibitors from all over Serbia and continue the tradition that started before World War II. More than 50 exhibitors will present themselves at the Fair. In his speech to the gathered people at the opening of the Fair HRH Crown Prince Alexander II said: “Agriculture is of major importance for the revitalization of our economy. I am certain that by working together we will be able to use the potentials of our agriculture in a best way.” Emphasizing that fairs like this one contribute to general development of technology and modernization of production with a positive influence to our entire economy, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II opened the Fair wishing it to become traditional. The Mayor of Mladenovac Mr. Zoran Kostic expressed his hope that the Fair would become international and one of Mladenovac landmarks, as well as his wish that agriculture becomes major branch of our economy. After the ceremonial opening the folklore groups from Mladenovac, Vlaska and Krsna performed a short program. Their Royal Highnesses were pleasantly surprised by the performance of “Vozd”, a play by Ivan Studen, performed by actors from Velika Plana. After the cultural program and accompanied by Mr. Zoran Kostic Their Royal Highnesses took a tour of the exhibition stands at the Fair. Later on, The Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited Mladenovac Hospital where they delivered a valuable donation of one ECG machine, and Selters Spa. |
