NEW DONATIONS TO GENERAL HOSPITAL IN PIROT

Belgrade, 6 September 2003 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine were in Pirot today where they first visited the Town Hall, and then General Hospital, where they delivered €30,000 donation consisting of a mobile incubator and a completely equipped “Peugeot Boxer” ambulance.

The ambulance is a part of the donation rallied by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine at the great humanitarian event on the occasion of the opening of The White Palace last year, while the mobile incubator is a part of the donation from friends from Greece, rallied at the great charity event at “Ekali” club in Athens this March.

Their Royal Highnesses were warmly welcomed at the General Hospital by the general manager Dr. Filip Pejcic, together with the doctors and nurses of this health centre.

“As you know, we work very hard in humanitarian activities and try to be a bridge between people of good will all over the world and those who need help. My husband Crown Prince Alexander II, our sons and I are going to keep trying to help you in the future, as much as possible” said Princess Katherine delivering the donation.

Upon the delivery, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess took a tour of the intensive care and cardiology wards of the General Hospital in Pirot.

Wishing them success in their further work and offering their support, Their Royal Highnesses finished their visit.
