IT IS TIME FOR CONSTITUTIONAL PARLIAMENTARY MONARCHY?

 The failure of the presidential elections is a great warning that Serbia cannot afford to have anybody toying with its future anymore. The bicentennial of the First Serbian Uprising and the establishment of the modern Serbian state will be celebrated without a democratic Constitution and vital institutions. There is a danger that the processes of the destruction of the Serbian state will be continued. The true way out of this deep state crisis is establishing Serbia as a constitutional, parliamentary monarchy.

 Constitutional parliamentary monarchy is a historically proven democratic system that works very well in Spain, United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. Constitutional parliamentary monarchy is a warrant for stability for Serbia and its people in these difficult political and economic circumstances. In a constitutional parliamentary monarchy parliament is elected freely by the people, and the King is the symbol of the country and is above politics. The King is not a member of any political party and represents all citizens regardless of their political views, religion or ethnic origin. The King also protects the democratic order from all extremisms, and in a state crisis such as today, he is the pillar of stability and functioning of the state.

 Serbia has proud people living in it. The modern Serbian state was established as monarchy and it achieved all its great victories throughout its history as a monarchy. The violent establishment of republic and neglecting of general interests, has put the future of the state at stake. Through constitutional parliamentary monarchy Serbia can be established as a modern, democratic and stable country. Serbia as constitutional parliamentary monarchy will reestablish the reputation in the world that it used to have. Only a democratic state ruled by law can eradicate corruption and crime, integrate us into the family of developed European countries and create conditions for big foreign investments into the impoverished Serbian economy.    

 Convinced in the future of Serbia as democratically established constitutional parliamentary monarchy HRH Crown Prince Alexander II is ready to serve Serbia and its people.
