CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR THE CHILDREN AT THE UNIVERSITY PEDIATRIC CLINIC AND THE INSTITUTE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD

Belgrade, 7 January 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine together with the members of their family visited today, on Christmas Day, the youngest patients at the University Pediatric Clinic and the Institute for Mother and Child, who were not able to spend Christmas at home with their families.

The Crown Princess delivered toys and candies to the young patients of these two major health institutions. The presents arrived at The White Palace through mediation of “Lifeline” humanitarian organizations from Athens, London and New York, that are under patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The toys that arrived from the USA are the results of a very successful program that the granddaughters of Princess Katherine Amanda and Stephanie organized at their schools for their friends in Serbia. This year too the program was assisted in donations by: “Mercator” and “Art Ival” from Belgrade, “M-Plast” from Sabac, “Swisslion” from Vrsac, “Paracinka” from Paracin, “Mleko-Produkt” from Zrenjanin, “Next” and “Sinalco” from Subotica.

The young ones warmly greeted Their Royal Highnesses and thanked them for the great care and love they have expressed on the most joyous holiday – Christmas.
