NEW DONATIONS TO THE HEALTH CENTER IN BRUS AND THE HEALTH CENTER AND ORPHANAGE IN KRUSEVAC

Belgrade, 19 January 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Brus and Krusevac today and delivered donations to the Health Center in Brus and the Health Center and the Home for the children without parental care in Krusevac.

An ECG was delivered to the Health Center in Brus through mediation of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. Addressing the present during the delivery of the donation, the Princess pointed out it was a commitment of all of us to provide our hospitals and their medical staff with the necessary equipment for their constant struggle for health and human lives.

The Health Center in Krusevac was delivered a mobile incubator that will, as HRH Crown Princess Katherine said, help the newborn babies and make the work of the medical staff easier.

The young ones from the Home for the children without parental care in Krusevac were delighted by toys, candies and clothes brought to them by Their Royal Highnesses. These donations came to The White Palace through mediation of the humanitarian organizations “Lifeline” from Athens, London and New York, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The toys which arrived from the USA are the result of a very successful program organized by the granddaughters of Crown Prince Katherine Amanda and Stephanie at their schools, in aid of their friends from Serbia. The candies, part of the toys and the clothes were provided by the local donors who in this way brought joy to over 2,000 children from orphanages throughout Serbia who were recently the guests at The White Palace at the reception for Christmas holidays.
