RECEPTION IN HONOR OF THE SLOVENIAN BUSINESS CLUB Belgrade, 22 January 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted a formal reception at The Royal Palace tonight, in honor of the Slovenian Business Club who took part, by their donations, in the great humanitarian program of construction of the Cesarean operation room of the Clinical Center of Serbia. The reception was attended by HE the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Borut Suklje, the Embassy advisors for economic issues Mr. Bojan Mikec and for agriculture Mrs. Metka Karner Lukac, Serbian Minister of Religion HE Prof. Dr. Vojislav Milovanovic, as well as the representatives of over 130 companies from Slovenia. The guests were first welcomed by HRH Crown Prince Alexander II who emphasized that the good relations between our two countries can contribute to a better economic cooperation, and supported better cooperation among the countries in the region. HE the Slovenian Ambassador Mr. Borut Suklje pointed out that his country has a great interest in establishing close cooperation with Serbia in all areas, including social affairs, with humanitarian activities as another tie between the two countries. The present were also addressed HE the Minister of Religion Prof. Dr. Vojislav Milovanovic who credited this great humanitarian program, and also pointed at the aid that the Republic of Slovenia provided in the construction of the Temple of Saint Sava in Vracar. The great humanitarian program of constructing the first Cesarean operation room in the Clinical Center of Serbia was organized following the initiative of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. This important event was covered by many local and Slovenian media. |
