DONATION OF “PNOE” FOUNDATION TO THE UNIVERSITY PEDIATRIC CLINIC AND THE INSTITUTE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD CARE IN BELGRADE

Prominent Greek pediatrician Dr. Papadatos in Belgrade

Belgrade, 19 February 2004 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited the University Pediatric Clinic xand the Institute for Mother and Child Care today. Accompanying Her Royal Highness was the famous pediatrician Dr. John Papadatos, the Chairman of “PNOE” Foundation, and Mrs. Evie Georgiadi.

During this visit new donations in medical equipment were delivered, worth € 50,000. The University Pediatric Clinic and the Institute for Mother and Child Care got 50 digital infusion pumps, which came as the donation of the “PNOE” Foundation from Greece.

Addressing the present doctors and nurses, Dr. Papadatos introduced them to the work of the “PNOE” Foundation, that deals in education of the children and parents in giving urgent medical help, as well as in equipping the intensive care units. Thanks to their efforts 18 intensive care units were fully equipped throughout Greece. Dr. Papadatos pointed out this was the first time that the “PNOE” Foundation was sending help outside Greece, and that it was made possible thanks to great effort of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and “Lifeline Hellas” in her wish to help our people.

Then HRH Crown Princess Katherine addressed the present and thanked for the generous help of the “PNOE” Foundation and its Chairman Dr. Papadatos and added:

“Our mission to help the youngest continues and by working together we keep trying to make our children’s lives better. My heart and my thoughts are always with the children, for a better today is here and we shall all build a better future together. Thanks to the “PNOE” Foundation and Dr. Papadatos, many children’s lives will be saved.”
