CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT

Belgrade, 4 March 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II congratulated today to the newly elected Prime Minister and the Ministers of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

“I believe you are well aware of my hope and my expectations of many important, and crucial issues of the survival and the progress of our people and our country getting close to the optimal solution. Such solutions, as a rule, are not quick or easy, at least popular, and it is your and the Government’s delicate duty, taking the circumstances that we are in, to try to establish a reliable strategy and the way to overcome the situation that has been burdening us for too long”, emphasized HRH Crown Prince Alexander II in his letter of congratulations to Prime Minister Mr.Vojislav Kostunica.

Congratulating the Ministers, the Crown Prince pointed out: “I hope you will have all the support and encouragement in heading your Ministries. Our people and our country need peace, prosperity and institutional stability that would bring back trust in the state, assure the citizens in safety under the law, develop and solidify the support to democratic standards and procedures, and bring hope that a better future is not only possible, but close, too.”

Saluting the newly elected Government, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II emphasized his readiness to support further democratization and reforms of our society.
