RECEPTION IN HONOR OF THE OPENING OF THE NEW CAESAREAN SECTION O.R. “HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE”

Belgrade, 12 March 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted a reception at The Royal Palace last night, for the donors who assisted carrying out the project of opening a new Caesarean section O.R. at the Institute for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Clinical Center of Serbia.

The value of this project is estimated at € 300,000, and the honor to assist the Clinical Center and celebrate the successful completion of the project belonged to: Energoprojekt Holding, Energoprojekt Equipment, Napred Construction Company, Gemax, Telecom Serbia, Ratko Mitrovic, Duga System, Kula Bank, Eximbank, National Bank of Greece, Krovogradnja, Alpina, Delta Engineering, Komgrap, CD Unioninvest, Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, Slovenian Business Club, Kema Belgrade, Beopublicum and Koraja Company.

The Ambassador of Greece, HE Mr. Michael Spinellis and the Ambassador of Austria, HE Mr. Hannes Porias attended the reception, since their countries’ companies have significantly assisted the project, while on behalf of the Institute for Gynecology and Obstetrics the reception was attended by the Institute’s general manager Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Radunovic, deputy general manager and the Head of Caesarean section ward Dr. Aleksandar Ljubic, as well as the counselor to the general manager of the Clinical Center of Serbia Dr. Ivan Jekic.

The first O.R. of this kind in Serbia will carry the name of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. Through her personal effort and through mediation of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, it was accomplished to join major construction companies, banks and successful businesses from all over Serbia to take part in this program with a sole aim – to “PROTECT OUR MOTHERS AND CHILDREN, HELP THE CHILDREN TO COME TO THIS WORLD SAFELY, FOR THEY ARE THE FUTURE OF SERBIA”.
