HUMANITARIAN CONCERT “LET US BREATHE IN LIFE TO SERBIA”

Belgrade, 1 April 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II attended the concert “Let Us Breathe in life to Serbia”, that was held in the Endowment of Ilija Kolarac in Belgrade, under the patronage of The Holy Synod of Serbian Orthodox Church and with the blessing of His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Pavle.

Opening the concert, His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Pavle greeted the present and thanked to all the donors for their care and assistance to the helpless. The Chairman of the organization Committee His Grace Irinej of Backa introduced the present with the new needs in equipping our hospitals and pointed out that for the three years since this program has been going on, the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine has been the greatest donor, and that it is continuing its participation in this important humanitarian program by donating 24 new incubators.

In the artistic part of the program was performed by the Choir of the St. George’s Church from Novi Sad, Mr. Jovan Kolundzija, Mrs. Jadranka Jovanovic and Mr. Oliver Njego.

Beside HRH Crown Prince Alexander II the concert was attended by Their Excellences the Ambassadors of the Republic of Argentine Mr. Carlos Abel Martese, of the Republic of Cuba Dr. Juan Sanchez Monroe, of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Stavros Amvrosiou and many other distinguished guests.
