EASTER CELEBRATION
1200 Children from all over Serbia at The White Palace

Belgrade, 10 April 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted 1200 children from all over Serbia, the children without parental care, the children of refugees and internally displaced persons, the children from socially deprived families, Roma children and the children with special needs at The White Palace today, on Great Saturday, on the occasion of Easter holidays.

The story of Easter was told to the children by His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac and Valjevo, who again this year was one of the hosts of the Easter celebration at the White Palace.

Their Royal Highnesses hosted 1,200 children from all over Serbia who came to The White Palace in three groups, and received Easter gifts and candies that were rallied from local companies and friends from Greece by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, following the best tradition of The Royal House of Karadjordjevic’s organizes receptions for the children at The White Palace in Dedinje on the occasion of Easter. This year too, the guests of The White Palace were the children who, by the twist of faith and life circumstances have been left without what they most need in their growing up – parental care, love and tenderness.
