SPECIAL EASTER BAZAAR OF WOMEN’S HANDCRAFTS
AT THE HYATT REGENCY HOTEL Belgrade, 12 April 2004 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine opened the Special Easter Bazaar of women’s handcrafts at the Crystal Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The ceremony was also attended by TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Prince Philip, as well as the representatives of the diplomatic corps. This Bazaar was preceded by a mini bazaar in New York where the handcrafts were sold within an hour, and the idea to promote our cultural heritage in the world was successfully carried out. The Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine will continue to organize women handcraft bazaars, and it is the wish of Their Royal Highnesses to promote our culture in all continents. Opening the Bazaar, HRH Crown Princess Katherine said: “On this Easter Bazaar let us all get closer to the good customs of our tradition, and we will get closer to good deeds”, and added that Easter is the most joyous Christian holiday. “Let us respect our tradition and the Holy Resurrection, let us respect our parents and take care of our children’s future” – pointed out the Princess. HRH Crown Princess Katherine wholeheartedly supports and constantly helps refugee women whose families will benefit from the proceeds of this Bazaar. The Special Easter Bazaar of women’s handcrafts will be open from 12 to 13 April 2004 and it will be a great opportunity to buy wonderful holiday gifts, and at the same time help refugee women and their families. |
