CHARITY CONCERT “GIFT TO CHILANDAR” AT THE SAVA CENTER

Belgrade, 13 April 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the great charity concert “Gift to Chilandar” that was organized at the Sava Center tonight, with the blessing of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

This concert marks the beginning of rallying the funds for the reconstruction of Chilandar Monastery that was tragically devastated in the recent fire. HRH Crown Prince Alexander II immediately upon the accident visited Chilandar and expressed his readiness to provide all the necessary assistance.

By taking part in this concert our most prominent artists are contributing to the rallying of the funds for the reconstruction of Chilandar Monastery.

Beside Their Royal Highnesses the concert was attended by the Hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church, representatives of the Government, Army of Serbia and Montenegro, religious communities, diplomatic corps and the prominent public figures.
