THE WORLD BANK PROGRAM FOR SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO
XXVI NGO meeting at The Royal Palace Belgrade, 15 April, 2004 – Organized by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine the 26th meeting of the international NGOs, UN and EU agencies and the Red Cross organizations was held at The Royal Palace today. The World Bank program for Serbia and Montenegro was presented at today’s meeting. The World Bank’s manager for Serbia and Montenegro, Mrs. Caroline Yunger and her associates, international affairs manager Mrs. Vesna Kostic and Mr. Miroslav Frick presented the World Bank projects for various sectors: energy, health care, education, infrastructure and others. Mrs. Yunger confirmed the World Bank’s dedication to the efforts for the advancement of Serbia and Montenegro and the struggle against poverty in cooperation with the Government of Serbia and Montenegro. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine thanked the representatives of the World Bank and all the present for their so far and the future efforts, and appealed to everybody for the further mutual assistance and cooperation. At the meeting it was announced that HRH Crown Princess will visit Munich where she will attend the meeting of The World Bank. The next NGO meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, 5 May 2004. |
