FOUNDATION-STONE LAID FOR THE NEW FACTORY IN ZEMUN

Belgrade, 4 April 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II attended the ceremony of laying the foundation-stone for the “Ball Packaging Europe” new factory in Zemun today.

The Crown Prince was welcomed by the deputy general manager for South Eastern Europe Mr. Dragisa Antic. At the beginning of the program the present were addressed by the General Manager of the company Mr. Hanno Fiedler and the Minister of Trade Mr. Dragan Marsicanin, and then the foundation-stone was laid.

Beside HRH Crown Prince Alexander II this big ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister Mr. Vojislav Kostunica, deputy Prime Minister Mr. Miroljub Labus, Minister of Finance Mr. Mladjan Dinkic, Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Mr. Aleksandar Popovic, Minister of Justice Mr. Zoran Stojkovic, Minister of International Economic Relations Mr. Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs Mr. Slobodan Lalovic, Minister of Trade Mr. Dragan Marsicanin, representatives of diplomatic corps, foreign banks in our country and numerous media representatives.

“Ball Packaging Europe” is the largest international food and beverage metal containers production corporation. The whole project of investing into the new, fourteenth factory in Europe is € 75 million worth.
